Ho-ho-holiday bonus is in the air!

And just like that we are a month away before everyone's favorite season arrives! So allow me to greet everyone an advance Merry Christmas! Ha ha!

We now experience longer nights, with 6PM looking like 7PM and in some areas of the Philippines with milder temperature, (though in some, it could get pretty humid still) and of course sparkly lights and glittery decorations are now out on display. As early as November, expect parties, get togethers, and dinners are in place and will probably stretch until the first week of the new year. Office parties, with singing and dancing managers will once again entertain the rank and file, hampers will be handed once again for families to share... and of course the 13th month pay will paid before Christmas!

The 13th month pay in the Philippines was created thru Presidential Decree No. 851 in December 1975 by then President Ferdinand Marcos, the idea behind it is to give families an extra something to spend on during the season of gift giving. Since then it's a bonus that everyone looks forward to year on year, something that I have not experienced for the last 2 years ha ha!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... A big Christmas tree and sparkly lights liven up an activity center in a mall.

So titos and titas, with your much awaited 13th month waiving, where are you planning to

spend it on? I will be sharing blogs every weekends of November and first week of December on where you can sensibly spend your bonuses on. From spending on something tactile, or looking after your future, to sharing your blessings, I will be sharing what I will most likely spend my money on this Christmas.
