Hola Titos and Titas! Summer has officially begun! I can feel the humidity and heatwave

starting to get into our daily lives. What are your plans this summer? If you have read my "Respite and Reflection" blog, I went to Cebu to detox for 2022. This summer, I believe people are excited to get out of town for the holidays, hello Semana Santa!

Of late, the hustle and bustle of daily living affects everything we do, convenience, accessibility is always what comes into mind, even in planning your holiday, the fastest way of getting into your destination becomes a priority. Taking plane rides going to VISMIN is always the choice of any traveller, it's fast! But it also has some drawbacks...price and if you have hoarded stuff during your travel, excess baggage fees could further take a toll on your budget. One option though that one can try is travelling by sea, it's cheaper, and you get more check-in baggage allowance. I know some of you might find it time consuming to be travelling by sea, it took me 22 hours from Manila to Cebu, but it actually helps to ease your mind slowly into your upcoming holiday, you actually have time to decompress!

Reasons I enjoyed sea travel:

Inexpensive! - Return tickets could go as low as Php 1000.
Enjoy the view of the sea, the sky, the stars and the islands.
Enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
Gives you time to go through your itinerary.
If you are travelling as group it allows more bonding time.
Gives you time to declutter your phone! Get rid of unnecessary texts, emails and photos.
Sleep properly while you travel.
You can take a shower! Good sleep plus a good shower equals a revitalized you, ready to start your holiday!

I can recommend you guys try 2Go Travels. They have trips to VISMIN, so Cebu, Roxas, Caticlan, Tagbilaran, Iloilo, Zamboanga, Dipolog etc etc... Yep a lot of destinations hehe...

Feeling a bit peckish? There is a mini grocery (Quikmart) where you can buy chips and drinks, if you want hot meals, they sell it on board too, but a bit pricey though, you can kiss your Php 100 goodbye for a meal.
Just incase your phone runs out of battery, there are charging stations available. Select cabins have their own charging outlets.
They have an acoustic night! And they have raffles!

The economy class actually looks decent in person!

I paid Php 2600 for a return ticket. The first trip I booked economy class, the room includes a a small cabinet, you need to get a cabin crew to lock the door for you. The trip going home, I booked a business class, which is an upgraded room with your own charging port, sink and more spacious cabinetry, also you have your own key to lock your cabin. My ticket includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, not bad actually!
